Here's a picture for those of you who dont want to read: its of quinn, my nephew, and he let me style his hair like that, it was awesome! he is so cute!

Clinical: first day of clinical for me today, it was generally ok. the first 4 hours were LONG, treacherous, boring-just tours of the care unit (old folks home) and lots of standing and trying to hear the tour guides talking. anyway, then we FINALLY got to meet our resident (the person we are going to provide care for in the next month, two times a week) and so i went to my patient's room, and he is ADORABLE (apparently very un-nurse like to refer to older adults as "cute" "sweet" "adorable" but im sorry, he just is). He really really is and so i am glad i have him. he's also very independant, so i dont really even have to do that much for him, he can dress, feed, toilet himself, walk around...hes awesome. Anyway, i shouldnt talk about him, i dont know how much im "allowed" to disclose about somebody. yeah, so today was the first time i felt a TINY bit like a nurse becuase i have my own resident. its a good feeling.
welp
i gotta go write a paper.

aww! I was thinking I should volunteer in an old folks home or something the other night, after watching a documentary. Some of them are so lonely! I cried for them.

But Quinn! Oh my, I know I Have seen that photo before, but it was SO funny and surprising to see again! Haha, he is the best kid ever!

Yeah I knew you always liked the older men, ever since fozzy. So how old is quinn because for some reason he looks really old in that picture. He must be growing fast or something.

Speaking of bringing sexy back...were you walking down yale this morning toward ucfv (from the highway). I passed this cute girl (I was going very fast...late for work as per usual) and I thought to myself "I like that hotpink scarf, she's cute..." and once I was past I was like, "Hey, That cute girl was Jamie!" (I think) (Or I just told a story on your blog about a girl I thought had a cute scarf).

Hey Jamie. Oh I really wish that I could get the low down on all the other not nearly as cool nursing students. But alas, I don't work at the menno home. I work at group homes affiliated with MCC. We don't hire nurses because we can pay them way less if they're not so qualified. Sorry, but you sure did look hot walking the streets the other day!
