well well well...this blog is dedicated to the kindness of strangers becuase i was at pita pit in abbotsford today, and it reminded me of the last time i was there, when i ate my pita on the patio last summer and left my purse on the ground. Came back about 25 minutes later and my purse was gone. After having a panic attack and asking the pita pit staff if they saw it, someone in the restaurant said the neighbouring store owner had found it. So i went there and got it back. I had over 300$ cash in my wallet (plus all my i.d. etc).
anyway! so pita pit today reminded me of that.
Other kind things: today a lady waved me through a stop sign even though she had the right of way (she didnt have a stop sign). WHich was nice. but it also screws up traffic when people go against the traffic laws. but i appreciated it today.
also my "mom" in maternity was SO nice to me, which makes it easier to do my assessments.

Hey! I remember Pita pit and the day you left your purse there. Only I don't remember if I was with you or you just told me the story. I think you were with Paul!
ANYWAY! none of that matters. The kindness of other strangers reminds me to be a kind stranger. I know--weeks left of school--it's awesome!

Jamie...your invite for dessert or a "drink" sounds WONDERFUL!! More tempting than anything...but unfortunately I have been really sick these last two days. I am SOOOO disappointed cuz I have really been wanting to get together with you but I don't think tonight will work. And tomorrow night we have bible study. Do you work Friday night? Maybe we could plan for a girls night if you don't have to work! I'm guessing you probably do though hey!?

yeah i remember that, i was with you. i was consoling you after you realized you left it, but i was secretly cursing on the inside. i'm glad you found it though.
Haha, secret cursing is a saving grace. And holding ones tongue is never wasted!
I remember when I was at playland one time. I left my backpack near a ride, and only realized like 1/2 hour later. I went back to where I left it, and a lady was standing right beside it, so it looked like it was hers. In other words, no one but the owner would dare approach her and take the bag. I thanked her so much! She said she knew I had a better chance of getting it back if she stayed there, than if she turned it in. Since then I have been able to do the same for a few people. At Christmas I spotted a purse and a load of bags on a bench all by themselves. I ran over and sat down right beside them. Not 2 minutes went by and a sheepish boyfriend followed by an angry girlfriend came running out of a nearby store. He was supposed to watch her stuff while she looked for a shirt. He forgot.
How good does it feel to return a favour to a stranger?
